Q. Where can I participate in an online seminar or tutorial?

Answer

If you are unable to participate in interactive online learning (such as seminars and tutorials) at home you can do so on the first floor of Beacon House Learning Centre, this space must be pre-booked. The ground floor will also be open as additional bookable silent study space. See the webpages for current opening times: http://bristol.ac.uk/students/your-studies/libraries-study-spaces/study-spaces/beacon-house/

The Interactive online study zone is an open plan space offering a mixture of individual study desk options. To support effective sharing of this space with others we strongly advise the use of headphones. This will help maintain your own privacy and reduce level of distraction for others.

Please note that:

  • Face coverings must be worn at all times within this space.
  • Study spaces on this floor are not suitable for silent study.
  • Study spaces are not private, so it is likely that you will both hear other students' conversations and be overheard by them.
  • Group study space is not available, but individual online participation in group work is permitted.
