Q. Do I need to take a Covid test before using the library? Should I wear a mask and distance?

Answer

The latest advice is that everyone, students and staff, should be tested twice before using campus facilities. You will also need to wear a face covering or exemption lanyard on campus and practice social distancing.

The government has asked that all students take 2 tests 3 days apart before returning to campus and take 2 tests each week, every week they attend campus. Students can find more information and book a test here: https://www.bristol.ac.uk/students/your-studies/study-2020/health-safety/mass-covid-testing/. Staff can find more information and book a test here:  https://uob.sharepoint.com/sites/coronavirus/SitePages/staff-testing-guidelines.aspx. Further questions should be directed to: coronavirus-student@bristol.ac.uk

Testing is a relatively quick process, and results are usually available within the hour. No proof of a negative result is required to enter a library or study space.
