Is there a problem with the wireless? Why can't I connect to Eduroam?

The IT status page has details of known problems with the system. Please ask at the Info Desk of the Library if your device is not connecting to the wireless.

If your device cannot connect to Eduroam, it might be that you need to remove your old profile and rerun the eduroam setup.

To do this, please follow these instructions (University of Bristol Wireless » Troubleshooting: How to remove wifi profiles and reconnect to eduroam):

  • Click the Network icon in the system tray (bottom right) and choose Network and Internet settings
  • Click WiFi on the left menu (may be Manage Wi-Fi settings on some systems)
  • Click Manage known networks, choose eduroam.
  • Click Forget and your eduroam wifi profile will be removed.

Next, follow the instructions below to install the new profile:

  • Download the eduroam setup. Setup can be found here: https://www.wireless.bris.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/eduroam-W10-UoB-eduroam_wireless_only.zip
  • Unzip the file. (Extract the installer from the file)
  • Run the setup.
  • When prompted for your username, please enter your full uni email address
